Presenting a very rare and unique Gloss Acid Pink S-Works Tarmac SL6 which is a true head turner and stands out from the crowd.
The Specialized Tarmac isn’t just a model of bike – it’s a dynasty. The line began in 2003, and since then the various iterations of the Tarmac have claimed victories at every Grand Tour, multiple World Championships and Olympic Road Races, and even a handful of the cobbled Classics.
Aerodynamics are tough to quantify without a wind-tunnel, but the Tarmac definitely holds speed well at around 40kmh, and feels more akin to a fully aero road bike in pure speed terms. With a weight of 733g in a size 56, the Tarmac could claim to be one of the lightest-ever aerodynamically orientated frames (30g lighter than Pinarello’s F10 X-Light in a size 53). The stiffness of the frame is well tuned from front to rear, and you will be shocked by how rigid the bottom bracket is. Under pressure it does not to flex at all, but transfers power directly to the road. That stiffness coupled nicely with finely tuned geometry creates a supremely precise cornering and ample stability on descents. Specialized ahve worked closely with its WorldTour teams to target sharper handling and better feedback from the road. Increased comfort is a big selling point with the Tarmac, and there’s no doubting this is a comfortable endurance racer that will be well equipped for a long day in the saddle. A redesigned and dropped seatstay bring this bike closer to the profile of the original Shiv Time Trial bike, sheltering the seatstays at their juncture with the seatpost and boosting the aerodynamic performance with no cost to the responsive feel of this bike. The frame incorporating for the first time a D-shaped seatpost and seat tube for improved aerodynamic prowess, this design further improves the level of comfort that you benefit from on your ride. Engineered flex added near the top of the seatpost means that you lose no power, whilst gaining crucial movement that makes those all-out efforts replicable.
Rolling on Roval CLX32 wheels for the best possible balance between lightweight responsiveness, the Tarmac SL6 benefits from a strong and high-quality carbon fibre construction, assuring you of the most direct transmission of your power possible.
Equipped with a full Shimano Ultegra Di2 8150 groupset for peerless electronic shifting, your riding need never suffers from mechanical misfiring again. Gliding across the rear cassette with the lightest possible action, this component choice provides supreme levels of adaptability and customisation, allowing the discerning rider the ability to call the shots.
The bike is in like new condition and has only been used a handful of times. Virtually no marks whatsoever! The shifts are flawless, braking is strong, bearings are smooth and no cracks at all.
