Tight corners, steep run-ups, slippery descents. You never know what you’ll get with cyclocross, and that’s what this bike is made for. With a lightweight aluminium frame, carbon fork and integrated parts, it’s smooth and fast on paved roads, dirt, sand or mud.

 

With a superlight ALUXX SLR aluminium frame, matched with a carbon fork and 12mm front and rear thru-axles, the TCX SLR gives you smooth, confident handling on all types of terrain. The D-Fuse carbon seatpost, a technology first developed for the TCX, helps smooth out rough terrain. Integrated disc brakes with flat mounts and thru-axles give you added control, and a tubeless ready Giant wheel set makes it easy to enjoy the advantages of tubeless tyres including a smoother ride quality, less rolling resistance, and a reduced risk of flats.

 

Light and agile - Utilising Giant's lightest aluminium technology the TCX SLR frame offers the right balance of light weight for climbing and accelerating, plus stiffness for precise handling on rough cyclocross terrain.

 

Total control - Integrated disc brake technology with flat mounts and thru-axle hubs, combined with tubeless ready Giant wheel set, delivers added control in variable conditions.

 

Smooth ride quality - D-shaped carbon seatpost reduces shocks and vibrations, minimising fatigue so you can stay strong to the finish.

 

The groupset is a 1x SRAM Apex groupset with snappy shifts through a wide range of gears.

 

The brakes are the excellent in the form of the giant conduct setup and they work reliably in cruddy conditions. They utilise cables to your hydraulic reservoir and then send hydraulic fluid to the calipers for that extra power and modulation. This means that the shifters can be a lot more ergonomic.

 

The wheels are the standard Giant PX2 wheels which are reliable and a great choice to get going. It rolls in some Maxxis All-Terrene 700x33c tyres. Wheels and tyres are tubeless compatible but currently setup with tubes.
