Description

A new breed of rider is emerging-one who loves the freedom and exploration that gravel culture was founded upon but who has a hunger to ride hard, to go all out, and to explore not just geography but personal limits. This frontier requires a new kind of gravel machine, one engineered not to roam the trails, but to race them.  With a lightweight carbon frame and gravel-specific Shimano GRX RX600 groupset is the perfect way to explore off-road trails.

For these athletes, we engineered Aspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. It's stiff, Classics-racing stiff, and performs like you'd want a road bike to perform off-road. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front.

The GRX 600 drivetrain pairs 46/30 chainrings with an 11-speed 11-34 tooth cassette, giving a wide range of gears suitable for steep off-road climbs whilst still having plenty of speed for any tarmac sections. Hydraulic disc brakes instil confidence on twisty descents and the flared Easton EA50 AX handlebar gives plenty of control when things get tricky.

With design cues and technology taken from Cervelo’s race bikes, the Aspero’s frame enjoys aerodynamic details like the cutout in the seat tube that shields the rear wheel from the wind and shortens the chainstays for snappier handling. The Trail Mixer flip-chip in the fork can be used to adjust the wheelbase and enables the use of either 700c or 650b wheels without any detrimental effect on the handling. There is clearance for 42mm tyres on 700c wheels or 49mm if using 650b and the Alexrims Boondocks-7D wheels are tubeless-ready, so can be converted easily

On longer rides, the included top tube storage bag can be bolted on for extra layers or to carry nutrition and the Easton finishing kit.

Condition

This bike is in very good condition.  It may have a few cosmetic blemishes, all of which will be photoed and mostly unnoticeable. Mechanically, it has been freshly built with new cables and functions perfectly with smooth gear shifts and freshly bled responsive brakes.
